With both Fulham and West Ham underperforming, both at the wrong end of the table and both in desperate need of some points we are in for a full blown 6 point fight on Boxing Day.
Fulham have had a tough couple of months having only managed three draws and three losses in their last six games. West Ham haven’t done much better having lost three, drawn two and won one. Despite the poor form shown by both we have this game down as the one to watch as both side do all they can to end 2010 with a win and kick start the second half of the season.
On paper this game has all the makings of a thriller, both sides will be desperate to get the win and start a run of good form so expect two or three goals, countless rash tackles, plenty of yellow cards and maybe the odd red card.
The ones to watch:
Clint Dempsey, currently Fulham’s top scorer and general talisman, Fulham haven’t had much to shout about so far this season but Dempsey does offer a glimmer of hope.
Scott Parker, Scott has always been a good player but this season is showing him at his best with six goals so far and no doubt more to come, look for some crunching tackles, probing passes and maybe even a goal.
With just three points between them this match is sure to be one of the hardest fought of the Christmas schedule.
